The Executive Board of the Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry have established the following committees for the purposes of advising the Board on matters within each committee’s area of expertise and carrying out Chamber initiatives as they fall within the charters of each committee.
Communications Committee: Available
A subcommittee of Marketing, the Communications Committee prepares and oversees distribution of marketing and promotional materials; communicates the activities of the Events & Seminars and Education Committees to the membership; and works closely with Marketing to develop website and newsletter content, and to manage email marketing.
Events Committee: Available
A subcommittee of Marketing, the Events Committee conceives, plans and oversees Chamber-sponsored events, such as the Annual Dinner, Business After-Hours — working closely with the Marketing, Communications, Sponsorship, and Education and Seminars committees.
Marketing Committee: Available
The Marketing Committee ensures that the Chamber markets itself and its members in the most effective and efficient manner. Working closely with the other committees and the Board, the Marketing Committee creates a detailed marketing plan for the coming year; keeps informed of current marketing tactics and makes recommendations for implementing marketing initiatives; oversees placement of all Chamber advertising in appropriate media and signage; and works closely with Communications to develop web site and newsletter content, and to manage email marketing.
Membership Committee: Available
Membership Committee recruits and retains Chamber members. Membership works on the features and benefits of the yearly membership, making sure members receive value; organizes the “New Member Orientation” meetings and helps with the monthly general meetings; and serves as a line of communication “Buddy System” if members have questions or concerns pertaining to the Chamber.
Seminars And Education: Available
The Education and Seminars Committee organizes the panel of speakers for the monthly Chamber meetings, as well as organizing and implementing seminars for the chamber, membership and community at large on a variety of business and non-business related topics.
