The Village’s newly updated subscription service is just one exciting portion of the Village’s newly redesigned website –   In an effort to create a more user-friendly site for its residents, businesses, and visitors the Village worked with E-Gov Link to design the site which features enhanced functionality as well as a cleaner, easier layout to navigate. Key to the new site is its responsive design, which means the site will automatically reshape itself to maximize its presentation for any screen, including tablets and smart phones.

The subscription service allows users to sign up to receive newsletters, alerts, police alerts, and/or receive updates as new Board or Plan Commission agendas are posted. The user can choose which subscriptions they would like to receive and can subscribe, change, or unsubscribe easily at any time. If you were a member of our previous email alert system, you have been added to the online subscription as a member of the newsletter group. If you want to be added to any other list please go to the new site and choose the subscription link under Residents and update your settings.

Also included with the launch of the new website is online Service Request Feature, the Citizen Action Line that directs a request directly to the responsible department. Items from Animal Issues to Property Code Violations can be submitted. When a request is submitted the user receives a tracking number that can be used to follow up on the status of the request.

Updates to the website will continue over the next several months as the Village continue to build upon the design of the site and integrate more solutions to better serve residents and businesses.

Please take a “stroll” through our online community and send us your comments about the redesigned website using the Service Question and submitting in ‘Website Comments”.
