Sugar Grove Needs Assistance with Property Maintenance

The rainy summer has increased the volume of calls regarding properties that are in violation of Village’s Code of Ordinances, 4-4, commonly referred to as the Weed Ordinance.  The Village and property owners are trying to maintain vacant properties but are running into difficulties due to dumping.  Items that are dumped hinder this effort as the debris is causing equipment damage, which then delays maintenance.  Dumping material of any kind including:  dirt, clippings, sod, plants, landscape material, asphalt, gravel, concrete, trash, etc, causes maintenance problems and is a violation of village code.

Your cooperation is needed in order for vacant land to be maintained.  Please do not dump anything on vacant land, utilize the services of Waste Management for the removal of debris.  If you see anyone dumping please report it immediately to the Sugar Grove Police Department.
