Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce & Industry will be held at noon on Thursday, December 11, 2009 at the Sugar Grove Fire Station, 25 S. Municipal Dr., Sugar Grove, Illinois.
The Agenda for this Annual Meeting will have 2009 reports on the Operations of the Chamber, activities of the Board, and reports of the committees of the Board. Each 2009 Sugar Grove Chamber member shall have returned their ballot on, or by, this date and the 2010 Officers will be seated as a part of this Annual Meeting.
Election of new Officers is through an application process. Applications are accepted in September by the Chamber Nominating Committee. Interested individuals need to have served for two years on a Chamber committee of in a leadership role. More information is available following this link.
Annual Awards Dinner
The Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Event is held each January in celebration of the events of the previous membership year. Plans are being made for the 2010 event at this time. Read more...
Community Events
The Chamber is a proud sponsor of the Sugar Grove Farmers Market.
The Chamber participates in both the Sugar Grove Corn Boil and Holiday in the Grove.

Special Sessions of New Member Orientation take place before the General Membership Meetings in March, June, and September. Please contact the Membership Committee for more information.
Seminars
The Education and Seminars Committee organizes the panel of speakers for the monthly Chamber meetings, as well as organizing and implementing seminars for the chamber membership and community at large on a variety of business and non-business related topics.
Committee Chair Breakfast
On Thursday, February 5 the Chamber Directors hosted an informal breakfast meeting with the Board of Directors, Executive Director and previous and new Chairpersons for the upcoming 2009 Chamber events and activities. The meeting outlined Chamber Committee descriptions and Chairperson Responsibilities, the preferred Communication information, as well as answering questions from committee chairpersons.
Solheim Cup
Ladies Professional Golf comes to Sugar Grove this year in a BIG way. August 17-23, 2009 the Solheim Cup will be held at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove. Community involvement information and updates available following this link.
Meet the Candidates Night
The Sugar Grove Chamber has as its focus the Sugar Grove business community. With the interests of our members and their community in mind, the Chamber has hosted a “Meet the Candidates Night” at several spring elections.
We invited individuals seeking office with the Village of Sugar Grove, Sugar Grove Library, Sugar Grove Fire District, Sugar Grove Park District, Sugar Grove Township, Waubonsee Community College, and Kaneland School District. Each candidate in attendance was introduced to the audience and allowed to display and distribute political materials. Candidates in contested races had a brief opportunity to address the gathering with a two-minute statement outlining how long they have been a resident, how involved in local government they have been up to this point, and their qualifications for the position.
Additionally, candidates for Village Board were asked to answer several questions. Our moderator posed questions in a random selection with equal time allotted for each candidate to respond. Due to time constraints, not every candidate had the chance to answer every question. Afterwards refreshments and an informal opportunity to meet the candidates were made available.
